Treatment B. Wet Rot Treatment (W.R.T.)
Our report will specify the actions needed for rectification of the cause. The cause must be removed by the client's contractor/specialist/builder, together with:
- The removal of structurally unsound timbers
- Only if justifiable after a COSHH assessment (not likely), the treatment of the remainder by Surface Treatment with Fungicidal Fluid (STFF) or perhaps a preservative paste.
- The replacement of the removed timbers with sound Tanalith pressure treated timber.
Only where justifiable under COSHH, can extra protection can be given by treatment with an insecticide, be it a dual purpose formulation or by separate application, to protect against future insect attack.
